Elliot was hard to keep up with
I have no idea how Henry found this snake which, before it was scared and started to turn, was just dangling there camouflaged in the vinesJanuary 12, 2016
A great day out in the woods
A cool morning and sunshine all day meant we had to spend our vacation day out in the woods. The boys had inexhaustible energy running almost a third of the 4+ hike.
He was excited

Summer fun
I just saw that posts from awhile ago never posted so you'll get to see them now. Plus I'll add a few photos from the last weeks.
Popsicle fun...we keep trying all different variations of fruit and juices in our Popsicles and luckily my favorite (pineapple and strawberry purée) is their least favorite (shocked them as much as me) so I got to eat all of them.
Heading to school: since we live near the boys school and my office we can walk. And sometimes in the afternoon we walk through a park to the pool. You can't tell from this photo but Elliot is usually the one begging that we take the stroller instead of the car.
Henry and Elliot love our new road because they can ride their bike and Razor right from our driveway

Birthday fun
Henry's birthday was a few weeks ago. With Elliot's just around the corner we had a joint birthday party for them. The bounty of presents was of course enjoyed - especially because they are still able to share so well. I'm sure that will change soon, but until then we'll make the most of it!
And Elliot read the night time story - a new fav book they got for their bday. Note the teenage mutant ninja turtles accoutrements
Okefenokee fun
Recently we enjoyed a 2 night camping adventure in Okefenokee Swamp. The weather was perfect, the adventures fun, and the gators a plenty.
Our campsite was a short walk to the entrance.
The first night we hung out at the main water entrance and happened to find someone fishing. Henry knew the first fish he caught was a sunfish!
We bonded with Sophie, the resident alligator near the park entrance who was lazing around with two babies near by.
We went canoeing the next day and saw at least 7 gators often within a few feet of our boat.
And hung out on Billy's Island for a picnic that made Elliot super happy

Cabining
We're enjoying a few days of cabin-ing while the boys' school is closed. The weather has been fantastic with light rain the first day and cool sunshine today. One more night of sleeping to the sounds of nature, including a small water fall right outside our cabin. As you can imagine, the boys are having a blast.
Here is our 'backyard'

The best ingredients
While finishing off a batch of cookies I said we should make more and maybe we can put in quinoa to make them crunchy. Henry responded and said "Maybe we can put in Lima beans!!" And Elliot said "yeah, and also frozen blueberries!" Hmmm, could be interesting....or maybe we'll leave those thoughts to daydreams.
